Mac Admins Slack: Do not post in #general
As if it were a swarm of bees, you should stay away from the #general channel in the Mac Admins Slack. Posting anything in it — or in threads within it — may cause unexpected issues. This channel is located in your Slack workspace, in your sidebar, near the top of your channel list.
Posting in the #general channel may cause unexpected results such as:
- 82,000+ notifications delivered simultaneously across 91 countries.
- Duplicate replies from helpful community members, each with a slightly different opinion.
- Spirited debate about whether your question belongs in #general, #ask-about-this-slack, #breakroom, or a channel that doesn't exist yet.
- Data loss (of your afternoon).
Important: Any posted message could propagate to other channels via cross-posting, threads, and the human instinct to say "actually." This means your original question could be lost on other channels, or worse, answered correctly in a way that generates further questions.
If you are attempting to ask a question about a specific topic, see the full list of 1,447 channels.
If you are attempting to ask a question about which channel to use, post in #general.

Tell us what works for you.
It's good, but...
You posted in #general anyway, didn't you.
It wasn't helpful...
That's because you didn't read it.
